I gazed upon the window,
Watching as birds fly by,
The clouds puffs of white so light,
The evergreens tempt me so.

I gazed upon the window,
As children screamed and shout,
Happiness shone at every corner,
Laughter rang pure and true.

I gazed upon the window,
Feeling the warmth of the sunny day,
Longing for cool breeze that swayed the stalks,
Desiring the works of Mother Nature.

I gazed upon the window,
Depressed and lonely as can be,
A prisoner to myself in this barrier,
Unable to experience the joys of life,
Not anymore..
